In 2014, on the Terms of Reference Podcast, I interviewed more than 50 development and humanitarian aid professionals around the world who work for organizations like USAID, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UNDP, and many others. While each conversation was unique, at the end of each interview, I asked each guest what their advice was for creating success in our sector.
“Making It” is the result of those conversations: as I listened to our guests’ advice, I found seven critical themes that everyone interested in creating a successful career can use.
We launched “Making It” in Washington, DC from Jan 20-23 with events at American University, Georgetown University, George Washington University and the Institute of World Politics.
