Back in September, TOR119 podcast guest GiveDirectly announced their intention to move forward with a pilot project on basic income. The project is ambitious and seeks to provide income for around 26,000 individuals in two rural counties in Kenya. They are sticking to their scientific principles and implementing the project through three test cases that include long term basic income, short term basic income, lump sum provision and a control group.
